Ex-Dux Dine manager, Joel, re-opened and revamped The Monday Room with a bang earlier this year, recruiting in the culinary skills of ex-Pegasus Bay chef, Shawn McGowan, and ex-Globe chef and brunch specialist, Sarah Harland.
A new delicious organic-focussed menu accompanied by a local wine list, O.G. fit out, savvy team of staff and on point playlist certainly is a recipe for a great time. Another recipe worth celebrating - The Monday Room’s Almighty Beetroot Cooler. Highly recommend.
- 30mls Hennessy VSOP Cognac
- 15ml Manuka Honey
- 75ml Almighty Beetroot, Blackcurrant and Ginger
- 75ml Gingerella ginger ale.
- Crushed ice
- Pickled golden and red beets
- Sliced radish
- Edible flowers
- Dehydrated beetroot powder
In a shaker, combine and shake all ingredients except Gingerella. Strain into a tall glass and fill with crushed ice. Top with Gingerella, stir gently and garnish.
