Common Unity Project Aotearoa x

The Koha Kitchen cooked 100+ lucky attendees a tasty 3 course lunch. House-made dips, vitamin-packed soups, woodfired calzone, crunchy salads and delicious rhubarb and pear crumbles served with Common Unity’s incredible Beeple honey and yoghurt for dessert. All washed down with refreshing Almighty juices! Everything was made with high-grade organic produce plucked fresh by little hands from the garden onsite and serious servings of love.
The array of workshops and activities were awesome! Willow and flower garland making, Recycled (bike) Rides, Project Sunshine bee initiatives, One Small Peace knitting, Sew Good projects, pot painting, live music, cultural performances, pizza oven hangs with Tommy and, of course, tours of the magnificent Unity Garden.
The Common Unity Project truly is an inspiration. The community-based urban farm project is growing food, skills and leadership with local families in Lower Hutt. We highly recommend getting involved and seeing for yourself this fantastic initiative in action. Interested? Drop us a line to [email protected] for more details.
