We don’t let the accountants do the squeezing, however, Ben tends to wear a multitude of hats (and a signature grin) much of the time. This cool, calm and collected character began his entrepreneurial journey in his early 20’s when he opened Wellington institution, Milk Crate cafe, in 2005.

A fabulous time was had by all at this year’s Ending HIV Big Gay Out in Auckland. The legendary annual event is Aotearoa’s biggest celebration of rainbow diversity and aims to end new HIV transmissions in New Zealand by 2025 via regular testing, new tools and encouraging people to Love Your Condom.

We had a ripper of a time celebrating Toast Martinborough’s 25th Anniversary this November. An absolutely stunning day spent over 8 sites, 9 wineries and 9 restaurants with 20 music acts, made for a fabulous festival indeed.

Tess and Almighty squad member, Lewis, have been having a hoot of a time hanging out with the kids at Papatoetoe West School in Auckland every Friday. Thanks to Ms Best and the Garden to Table programme, the kids grow all sorts of delicious stuff from broad beans to blueberries, kale to cabbages and everything in between.
Penney’s love for big apples and urban gardening inspired her to make the most of her deck and build a practical, fruitful, potted garden at her Mt Victoria home. Of course the garden also assists Penney in cooking her blessed whanau many a delicious meal. Good on ya Penney!

Hawkes Bay landscaping legend, rugby hero and old school rock ‘n roller, Guy Morris, is an Almighty old mate from way back. Based in Napier, Hawkes Bay, with his wife and three kids, Guy’s passion for passionfruits, permaculture and growing the green stuff has manifested into a DIY home vege garden fit for a king.
We were super excited to have our friends at Bird on a Wire join the Almighty Garden Squad recently. We met up with co-founder, Sophie, for some gardening and a delicious lunch cooked by the clever kids at St Francis Primary.
